COLLABORATIONS
We actively collaborate with Community Dog Welfare, a rescue shelter located in Kathmandu, as a part of our weeklong educational workshops in schools, giving the students a hands-on experience with rescued stray dogs in Nepal along with learning how a dog shelter runs.
Community Dog Welfare
ullens school
A 4th grader about Community Dog Welfare Kopan (CDW): “This place is a paradise for stray dogs!” It certainly is!
Fourth graders from Ullens School visited CDW (an organization founded by Kate and Doug Clendon to help Nepali stray dogs) to learn about their shelter and work for the dogs, after an in-class humane education workshop at their school. The visit included a briefing about CDW’s mission and work, sharing stories of some rescued street dogs, a tour of the facility, some creative activities and of course answering many questions from the curious children.
